This week is Microsoft Ignite week. Now, Microsoft is also always about learning new technologies and existing technologies. Read about that a few lines further down.
SCOM Training promotion
During this week (10 to 16 October 2022), TopQore is offering SCOM Operator and SCOM Administrator trainings at a 50% discount! Now, I know I am heavily biased in this, since they are our trainings, but I honestly believe this is the best deal ever to get started and get yourself and colleagues educated and certified on SCOM. Of course the regular prices are quite low, because we want to make it easy for more people to follow training and make better use of the product, but this is a golden opportunity of course to get cheap.
Ignite Skills Challenge
Now, to get back to Microsoft Ignite, which is this week Wednesday to Friday. During the last few big events from Microsoft we saw Skills Challenges, whereby you get a chance to follow ne of several technology learning tracks as a matter of a challenge, and when finishing the challenge you get an exam voucher. There are 7 challenges to choose from in the areas of Intelligent Cloud, Cloud Developer, AI automation, Field Service Automation, Modern Work, Cloud app maker, and Protect everything. You can earn 1 voucher (in total) when you follow and finish a challenge, and you can take one of the exams which are aligned to these learning paths. This does not say that this challenge contains all the Microsoft Learn modules you need to pass one of these exams, but a fair few of them at least. You have a 4 weeks to finish a challenge. Last time a challenge was about 14 to 17 hours of content in Microsoft learn modules, so I expect around the same.
