On Wednesday 20 November my colleague ALi Genc is presenting a webinar for the SCOMathon Coffee Break series entitled “Linux Agent failed upgrades and what do to about them”. This webinar came about after a blog post about SCOM Linux agents failing to upgrade to the next version, showing as upgraded at first, and next rolling back the version. Ali will tell you about the Linux monitoring history and basics and follow into the agent install and upgrade process, leading to the causes of that failed upgrade and how to solve it.
There are very few webinars about Linux monitoring with SCOM, so make sure you see this. We will work on more content linked to this topic!
When: Wednesday 20 November at 4 PM CET.
Presenters: Ali Burak Genc (TopQore) and Bruce Cullen (SquaredUp)
Topic (short): Linux monitoring with SCOM and things to keep in mind when the agent fails
Description: Ever tried upgrading the Linux agent from the SCOM console, which reports success, yet the upgrade failed and reverted to the old version. Why does this happen? What can you do about it, and what other common causes of upgrade failures are there? We will look at the answers before looking more broadly at Linux agent installation/upgrades and monitoring in a comprehensive look at the Linux/Unix agent.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
